Let's pick up where we left off yesterday. Cowlicks can be tough! Yesterday we talked about one thing we can do to stay in control of them - dry the pesky area first...
Today, let's take it a step further and talk about the tools we use at home. It can be confusing when choosing the right styling tools to use at home and that will be an entire different subject that we can talk about in the future. For now, let's just focus on the tools that help control the hair at the root, which is where the problem begins.
When blow drying the hair be sure to have the dryer on a controllable setting. Meaning, low air with a higher heat so that the air will be focused on the area you are trying to control. The tools that give you the most control are ones that have a "flat" back. In other words, there is no venting for the air to flow through. The air is trapped between the hair and brush and will flatten out much more easily. Another great tool is a comb with the teeth placed close together. This helps to grip and control the root very easily.
Tomorrow, we'll wrap it up with some final tips! Feel free to post any questions you may have and we will be happy to answer them for you.
Blessings
