Welcome back to our round brush discussion!
Here's a great way to see if your round brush is the right size for you!
Check out how many rotations your hair gets around the brush.
If you want volume choose a brush that rotates 1 - 2 times around the hair.
If you want volume with a bit of movement on the ends you'll want the brush to rotate 3-5 times around the hair.
More than that and you will be struggling with getting the brush to perform without tangling up in your hair and the end result may be too curly for your liking. The bottom line...more rotations = more movement and curl.
One hot tip to leave you with. If you really want volume at the root and curl/movement on the ends it's absolutely critical to "follow through" with the brush all the way to the ends.
What I mean is that once the hair is rolled into the brush, don't just take it out. Let it sit and cool for a moment, then gently unwrap it and remove the brush. Smooth the entire section over the brush from scalp to ends and give one final pass over it with the blow dryer making sure you follow all the way to the ends. This will completely eliminate the "roller mark" where the brush was. This final step will give your look polish and natural movement!
Happy styling!
